Welcome to a unique, developmentally-appropriate approach for 5-year-olds that gently bridges the gap between early learning and the more structured demands of elementary school.
Featuring small class sizes, individualized reading programs, a discovery-based environment, and plenty of hands-on learning, our Kindergarten program truly sets students up for future success.
As part of the Cooperative School at Northland, the program features a strong parent participation commitment. Fridays offer opportunities for parents and children to work on assigned activities or attend class field trips together.
Practically, this looks like:
Small class sizes (12 or less)
Class on-campus 4 days a week — Monday thru Thursday
On-campus days focus on core subjects, including reading, writing and math, as well as important enrichment opportunities, including Art, STEM, PE and Music.
At-home days are Fridays. Our students are encouraged to work with their families on assigned activities, attend school-led field trips, and to explore interest-led learning opportunities.
